Winter window wonderland

It was time to change our window display to rich rusty reds and wood, there's a nip in the air and the leaves have almost finished dropping.  Lots of warm winter woollies are in stock now to keep everyone cozy.  The scarf that is shown on the bike seat sold yesterday, you need to be quick!  More baby beanies are on the needles now.

Lots of new stock arrived this week too.  Check out our Facebook page and 'like' us and you'll get regular updates on new stock and shop happenings.

How to wash woollens...........don't be scared, it's easy

Find a nice clean vessel, add a small amount of very good quality wool wash to some tepid/lukewarm water and then pop the woollens in and give them a swish around and squeeze with your hands.  Tip the soapy water out and rinse in cool water in your vessel until no more soap bubbles out.  Gently squeeze the excess water out with your hands, roll the woollens in a clean towel to remove more water, then gently pull the woollens into shape and lay them in a nice warm spot on a dry towel to dry completely.  See, it's that easy.

We are hoping to stock hand knits at all times in our little shop, especially little newborn baby beanies. They make a perfect gift and are made from wool so they are soft and cozy.
